Martina Cutajar (MA)
Senior ESG Advisor – ARQ Group

Martina Cutajar has a background in biology and a Master degree from the University of Malta. She served as Malta’s first Marine Park Site Manager, where she successfully drafted the park’s Management Plan and led stakeholder consultations, including with government agencies, to ensure long-term sustainability.

Martina’s transition into the ESG space was driven by her deep belief that industries, including gaming and corporate sectors, play a pivotal role in achieving global sustainability goals. Her main focus now is to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into core business strategies. She works closely with organisations to help them navigate the complexities of ESG frameworks, enhance transparency, and build resilience through responsible governance and ethical business practices.

Passionate about sustainability and social impact, Martina believes that gaming and corporate industries are key players in shaping a more sustainable future, and she is dedicated to supporting these sectors in making meaningful ESG contributions.

Elisa Bevilacqua
Senior Sustainability Technical Manager – EFRAG

Elisa joined EFRAG in September 2022 as senior sustainability technical manager. She currently leads the work on SME (VSME) and her focus on the sector standards is on banking and financial institutions. Elisa has 25 years’ experience in the financial sector. In the past 15 years she focused on corporate social responsibility, green finance, ESG risks and sustainability reporting. Before joining EFRAG, Elisa was head of sustainable finance at the European Association of Cooperative Banks, where she held numerous positions since 2004. Prior to that, she worked at the European Parliament in Brussels and in the investment fund industry in Luxembourg.

Elisa is an honor graduate in Economics and Business from University La Sapienza, specialised in environmental economics. She holds a Master in Business Administration from Vlerick Business School. She is author of many articles and publications, the latest in 2022 is the co-authoring of the book European Cooperative Banks and Sustainability.
